The Institute is currently compiling a database of suitably qualified persons who would be available for appointment, should a vacancy arise, as Hourly Paid Part-time Assistant Lecturers in the following subject areas for Semester 1 of the academic year 2018/2019:

School of Engineering & Design

  • Theatre Design: Costume Design
  • Writing and Literature: Screenwriting
  • Writing and Literature: Poetry

School of Business & Social Sciences

  • Social Care

School of Science

  • Environmental Science

The minimum qualification required is a relevant primary degree with first or second class honours and 3 years post-qualification experience.

Applicants should also submit covering letter outlining the subject area in which they are qualified to teach. 

Closing date for receipt of completed applications is 5pm on Friday 31st August 2018.

Data Retention

If your application is successful and you accept an offer of employment with IT Sligo, the application form, references and any other information you supply will be used to form the basis of our personnel record and for statutory purposes. This personnel record will be retained permanently by the Institute.

If you are an unsuccessful applicant your application form and other documentation submitted will be retained for 12 months after interviews have been held for the post.

Shortlisting screening forms will be retained for 6 years.

Interview Assessment forms and Selection Board Report forms will be retained permanently.

Data entered as part of an application on our online recruitment is stored in the system and will be made available to an applicant to ‘reuse’ as part of any future application.
