Creative Design students visit Molex, Sligo
The Molex Sligo, Phillips Medisize plant hosted an innovation challenge in conjunction with the final year Creative design students from Sligo Institute of Technology.
The event was the outcome of the design project undertaken by the students on the theme Connected HealthCare organised by Nevil Walsh, Creative Design lecturer at IT Sligo and Eamon O’Connell, Engineering Director, Molex Ireland.
Attending from Molex included Colm Conlon, West Coast Office, CA, Andy Yeh, Molex Japan, Dermott Brogan, Phillips Medisize Sligo and Eamon O Connell, Phillips Medisize Ireland.
Over the course of the day, 19 students presented ideas on connected health applications that may have a significant impact on the future of how health care across many therapeutic areas. Three students were recognised for their design projects on the day were Paul Connolly, Maite Redin and Ciara McMorrow.
