All undergraduate student projects must be Risk Assessed prior to the student undertaking their project work.
The project supervisor must assist the student in assessing the health and safety hazards which may be present and ensuring the student has taken all necessary steps to ensure their health and safety.
This covers all timetabled projects which have a practical element, undertaken by undergraduate students as part fulfilment of a taught programme at IT Sligo. It involves projects which take place in a laboratory, workshop, project room, studio, gym, football field, running tracks etc.
