IT Sligo is currently in the process of developing a detailed Critical Incident Plan to deal with majorunexpected, unplanned events, which may cause injury to employees, the neighbouring community, damage to buildings and to the environment.
IT Sligo Critical Incident Plan will be designed to provide guidance from minor injuries to major emergencies. The main focus of the plan will be to initiate the correct action to minimise injury to personnel and damage to the plant until the arrival of the emergency services.
This plan will provide detailed guidance on the following:
- Responsibilities of the Critical Incident Team
- Raising the Alarm
- Calling out the emergency services
- Evacuation procedure
- Emergency communications
- Response to an emergency situation or critical incident such as
- Fire or an Explosion
- Hazardous Material Incident
- Accident involving death or serious injury on campus
- Severe Weather
- Outbreak of Communicable Disease
- Loss of Utility Services
- Disappearance of a Student
- Threat (bomb etc) to IT Sligo
- Assault on Campus
