IT Sligo will be closed tomorrow 8th December
A status Orange warning has issued for counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.
Due to the significant nature of Storm Barra, as forecast by Met Éireann and to give sufficient notice to institutions of further and higher education, the Department is advising that all universities, colleges and further education facilities covered by the Orange warning from Met Éireann should not open tomorrow, 8th December. IT Sligo will therefore close tomorrow 8th December.
All online/remote learning plan to continue but may experience disruptions due to technical issues caused by the storm.
We ask all students to contact lecturers directly for any course queries.
Apprentice exams tomorrow are cancelled and will be rescheduled asap.
We ask all students and staff to check emails for further information and to act with caution, stay safe and stay indoors if possible.
