Northwest Energy Communities Start-up (NECS)
Northwest Energy Communities Start-up, is funded by Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and is being carried out by IT Sligo & Good Energies Alliance Ireland (GEAI). The project is designed to work directly with active communities that have not yet focused on energy. The project will work closely with six communities (Drumshanbo, Carrick-on-Shannon, Ballinamore, Carrigallen, Grange and Ballyshannon)to see how they use energy. Its aim is to encourage those communities to become energy citizens and play an active role in their own energy future.
