Do not travel to IT Sligo unless absolutely necessary.

All students and staff to learn and work remotely where possible.

A Red warning has now been issued by Met Éireann relating to severe wind for counties Clare, Kerry and Cork.

A status Orange warning has issued for counties Limerick, Waterford, Galway, Mayo, Wexford, Dublin, Louth, Wicklow, Meath.

Due to the significant nature of Storm Barra, as forecast by Met Éireann and to give sufficient notice to institutions of further and higher education, the Department is advising that all universities, colleges and further education facilities covered by the Red Alert and Orange warning from Met Éireann should not open tomorrow, 7 December.

As IT Sligo borders on this region and many of our students and staff commute within this zone, we ask all students and staff to work from home tomorrow, 7th of December.

Apprentice exams scheduled for Tuesday 7th December are cancelled and will be rescheduled.

You will be advised of rescheduled exam date by your lecturers asap
