StudentSurvey.ie (formerly ISSE – the Irish Survey of Student Engagement) is a national survey that asks students about their experiences of higher education, including their academic, personal, and social development, and how their institutions provide opportunities and support for this development. These students have created a large and valuable data set of their experiences of higher education, and this had benefited each institution and its students by helping to improve feedback and appropriate follow-up action. As we forge ahead in the exciting year where we will become Atlantic Technological University, this year will be important as it will be the last time to capture the voice and opinions of our IT Sligo students. The data will offer us an insight into how our students feel about their higher education experience as we all begin on the exciting journey ahead.

Who will take part in the Student Survey this year?

The survey is for ALL first-year students on a level 6-9 taught award as well as any student in the last year of a level 6, 7, 8 or taught level 9 programme. It’s important to note that this includes online students – a very large cohort in our Institute. This means a very high proportion of IT Sligo students will be involved. Research students at Masters or PhD level will NOT be surveyed this year (every second year only).

The survey is open until February 28th.

For those students who complete the survey, they will be in with a chance of winning Apple AirPods, Fitbits, vouchers, and many more goodies.
