Dear student

EU Applicants

First Year Entry:

  1. Students applying for entry to 1st year of IT Sligo undergraduate programmes should apply via the Central Applications Office (CAO) which handles all such applications for Irish third-level colleges.
  2. The closing date for applications is 1st February, 2013. Late applications can be made up to 1st May, 2013 whilst the change of mind date is 1st July, 2013.
  3. Students should state their IT Sligo course preference, 1 down to 10, and enter the appropriate course codes.

 

Advanced Entry:
Students seeking advanced entry to 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year of a programme should submit the following documents to the International Office:

  1. A completed IT Sligo International Application Form
  2. Full curriculum vitae
  3. Certified copy transcript of college/university results
  4. Recommendation letter from university
  5. Evidence of proficiency in English
  6. The closing date for receipt of advanced entry (September) applications is 15th May in the same year.
  7. Applications for Semester 2 (January) entry should be received on or before 15th November in the preceding year.

  • Application form and the following documentation below to International office, IT Sligo, Ballinode, Sligo before 15th May (Semester 1 entry) OR 15th November (Semester 2 entry).
  1. A letter from your International coordinator with the names of the nominated students and their level of English.

As all lectures, tutorials and practical work are delivered through English, it is vitally important all incoming International students (who are not English native speakers) have the required standard on entry to ensure they gain maximum value from their time at IT Sligo.

The English language test must be taken within two years from the date of application.

  1. Transcript of records for previous years of higher education study. For the current year, a list of their subjects is sufficient. Students can bring a copy of results in September. Students must have passed their exams to attend the Institute.
