Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) it is your right to obtain details about how your data is processed by IT Sligo and to request a copy of any personal data that IT Sligo holds on you.

How to Make a Subject Access Request
If you would like to make a request to obtain a copy of personal data that we hold on you, you can do so by downloading the Subject Access Request Form completing same and returning to us at either: firstname.lastname@example.org
Or by post to:
Data Protection Officer, Institute of Technology Sligo, Ash Lane, Sligo, F91 YW50
Important Points to Note
Please include the following details in your request:
- Full name
- Contact details
- If you are a current or former Student, your student ID number
- If you are a current or former member of Staff, details of the Departments or areas worked in within the Institute together with the relevant dates
- A full description of the information you are requesting. Please provide as much information as possible to help the Institute locate the information such as the time periods concerned, names of members of staff who you may have dealt with or who may be able to locate the information, the Department or areas of the Institute that are most likely to hold the relevant information.
Please note that we may have to seek further clarification if we do not have enough detail to enable us to find the information you are seeking and we may also ask for evidence of your identity.
We will endeavour to respond to your request within one month however, we may have to extend this time by a further two months but we will inform you if this is the case and explain the reasons for the delay.
