Clubs and Societies are a great way to make new friends, pursue something you enjoy or try out something new. There are over 70 Clubs and Societies to choose from at IT Sligo. Our advice is to make the most of your time, get involved, get active and have fun.
Our Clubs and Societies organise many events that contribute to a vibrant social scene throughout the year. So why not join up with a club that interests you or maybe try something new.
The Clubs and Societies Information Day will be held early in the first semester where you can see what each have to offer.
IT Sligo offers excellent sports facilities and huge programme of fitness classes. Our stunning location along the Wild Atlantic Way lends itself to some breath-taking natural facilities, allowing us to take part in some excellent adventure sport. The following is a selection of some of our sport clubs:
Athletes, Basketball, Badminton, Boxing, Cycling, Dance, Equestrian, GAA, Golf, Kayaking, Martial Arts, Motorsport, Mountain Climbing, Rugby, Surf, Soccer, Sub aqua and Swimming.
For those that want to be part of a team and sport is not their thing, joining a society is a great option to give you chance to get involved and meet new people with similar interests as you. You may choose to continue to pursue an established passion of yours or trying something completely new. There is something for everyone from film to gaming to organic farming.
