Exam Procedures and Forms
All students are responsible to familiarise themselves with the Examination Regulations.

A request for Special Consideration by the Examination Board(s) of circumstances that may have adversely affected your examination performance such as bereavement, accident, illness or other personal disruption. You may apply online using the link below, within four days of the last timetabled exam as per the exam schedule.
If you are unable to submit course work by the assigned due date, due to illness, bereavement or work commitments you can apply for an extension of time before the due date, directly to the relevant lecturer. If an approved extension is not applied for and obtained, late work will be subject to a penalty of 5% per working day.
The procedure applies to students with a failed result who are required to register to repeat an examination, project or other repeat requirements
A student may request a recheck and then a review and appeal of their examination results after the results have been issued. You are advised to read the following information carefully before you apply.

This is form is applicable to all students including Full-Time students, OFPD students and Craft Apprenticeship students.

A Statement of Examination Results (Transcript) are issued, via our Digitary system, to all students who have completed a full stage or a full award after the end of year/autumn examinations. If a student wishes to apply for a further copy of these results, they need to apply using the form below.
Parchments for Major awards are presented Official Conferring Ceremony. If a student wishes to apply for a replacement parchment, they need to apply using the form below if the award was issued by ATU Sligo as part of delegated authority. If your parchment was issued by HETAC, please contact HETAC see FAQ for further information.
Qualifier examinations are only available to students who have received a Pass at an Award Stage examination however they wish to retake the exams to obtain a higher grade for the purposes of gaining professional body exemptions. The student’s overall award classification of remains unchanged.
Students who are studying online programmes may have the option to sit their exams remotely with an online invigilator/proctor through Examity inc. Please read the procedure below carefully.
A student wishing to exit their studies prior to the completion of their programme, where an embedded award exists, and having successfully completed all requirements, may apply for the embedded award. The decision to award an exit award is made by the Examination Board.
A student wishing to receive a major award by combining minor awards (including special purpose awards and single subject certificates), provide those minor awards are linked to a major award, may apply for the major award. The decision to award a major award using this procedure is made by the Examination Board.

It is the responsibility of a students with a disability or specific learning difficulty to register with the Access Office/ Learning Support Office to be assessed for supports for Examination at the beginning of the academic year.
