Open Days 

At IT Sligo, we host several Open Days and Events throughout the year on our campus and we get the chance to show you our stunning campus and modern facilities. These events give students, parents and teachers the opportunity to meet with our staff, attend programme talks & discover our wonderful facilities and resources during tours or interactive workshops.

Open days give you the opportunity to get ask questions, talk to our student support services and accommodation providers and discover why IT Sligo could be the best fit for you.

Campus Tours

IT Sligo’s campus tours are ideal for students and their families who are considering a course at IT Sligo or who would like to see the campus, explore the facilities and find out more about their chosen course areas. While we can’t run on-campus tours at the moment it is possible to take a virtual tour of our campus.  We are resuming on campus tours every Friday from the 4th June 2021, you can book a place any time between 10am-4pm by registering for our campus tours here.

On-campus tours begin in the main Reception with a brief introduction of our programmes, facilities, student life and supports available, followed by visits the Yeats Library, Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, Faculty of Science building and the Faculty of Engineering and Design. Once they resume our on-campus tours will take place each Friday afternoon from 2pm in small groups with strict social distancing measures. To book a place on a tour please email us.

In addition to Open Days, the campus holds regular events throughout the year such as Science & Engineering week events, industry events and conferences.

School Visits

School visits to Leaving Cert students, 5th year students and Transition Year students can be arranged through our Student Liaison Office. If you wish to request a school visit, please contact us with the name of your school or college of further education, times and dates that are suitable and include any specific information you would like us to cover in the presentation. We can tailor the presentation to your needs.

We also attend a large number of Careers Fairs and Exhibitions throughout the country during the academic year.

School Tours & Workshops

School Group Tours

Our Schools Liaison team offer guidance counsellors the opportunity to bring 5th or 6th year students to our campus for an organised tour of our facilities and learn more about the programmes we offer. The tour will begin with a presentation of our offering, followed by a tour of our facilities. To arrange a group tour, please contact us

Interactive Workshops

We have a number of workshops available for 6th year to transition year students, both on our campus or in your school. We would be delighted to arrange a subject specific interactive workshop, inspirational talks or information sessions for your students, staff or parents. Discover Sligo

Our state of the art 72 acre campus comprises of the best lecture halls in the country, engineering and design workshops, a technology centre and our library gives you access to over 175,000 online resources.

There are over 2,000 beds available across seven purpose-built student accommodations, all within a short distance of IT Sligo. Our campus is within easy walking distance to the bars, shops and restaurants in Sligo town.

In addition to the Campus, Sligo town is accessible by train and bus, with a beautiful location along the North West coast. With access to beaches, mountains, lakes and forests, there is plenty of the doorstep for adventure seekers.
