This guidance is intended for international applicants who want to apply for a full time, on-campus course at IT Sligo.

IT Sligo offers courses at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate level across a range of academic disciplines.

You can use our Course Finder to find the perfect course for you. Individual course webpages will give you information about the course including content, format, duration and graduate opportunities.

To meet visa and immigration requirements for Ireland, applicants from outside of the EU/EEA must study a full time course that is listed on the Interim List of Eligible Programmes. This is available at on the INIS website.

How to Apply?

How you will apply to IT Sligo will depend on your course and your applicant category. Please read the guidance carefully before making an application. If you are unsure about how to apply, please contact the International Office for assistance. 

Who should use this application route?

Non-EU Applicants 

EU/EEA applicants applying for postgraduate programmes 

EU/EEA applicants applying for advanced entry / transfer to undergraduate programmes

Who should use this application route?

EU/EEA applicants applying for Year 1 entry of undergraduate programmes at IT Sligo. 

Who should use this application route?

Erasmus+ applicants from partner universities who wish to study a semester or year abroad at IT Sligo 

Entry Requirements

All applicants are required to meet the academic and English Language admissions requirements of the course they have applied to. IT Sligo accepts a wide range of international qualifications.

English Language Requirements

A high proficiency in the English Language is required for all applicants. If your first language is not English you will be required to provide evidence of your language competency through a recognised English Language qualification. The qualifications accepted by IT Sligo and the minimum scores required for admissions are detailed in the table below. You must have completed your qualification within 2 years of the date that you will begin your academic studies at IT Sligo.
