Chat online with lecturers and staff, learn about our courses and their career prospects and much more.

IT Sligo students have great choice whilst enjoying one of Irelands most affordable student destinations. First Year Experience
At IT Sligo, we wish to create a welcoming and supportive environment for our first years and have created a very comprehensive two day Student Induction programme of events to help you settle in and learn all about what IT Sligo and the greater Sligo area has to offer to students. Full participation in the Student Induction programme will answer many questions that you have when starting college.
Following on from Induction, the Peer Mentoring programme runs during the Semester One and Two. This programme gives new students the opportunity to create networks between each other and student mentors, who are second and third year students trained for this role from the same discipline to pass on the information needed to settle/succeed in college life.
Clubs and Societies
There are more than 70 clubs and societies in IT Sligo that generate a vibrant buzz on campus throughout the year with loads of events on every week. Our advice to you is make the most of your time at IT Sligo, get involved, get active and have fun.
For those that want to be part of a team and sport is not their thing, joining a society still gives you the chance to meet new people with similar interests as you. You can choose anything from dancing to gaming or Trad music to organic farming.
Sport and Physical Activity play an important role in Campus Life at IT Sligo. Our belief is that Sport is for everyone. Whether you are an achieving athlete, a talented part-time player or a healthy hero just looking to keep fit, we have something for you. We realise the positive impact Sport and Activity can have on an individual’s Physical and Mental Health. It improves your wellbeing, forms new friendships and enhances all aspects of your life and learning. That is why we have developed a broad range of activities to suit every individual.
