Getting Set Up
New ATU Sligo Students
Congratulations on becoming a student at Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Sligo. Here is important registration information to get you started!
New Student Registration – Atlantic Technological University Sligo
Get access to your ATU email address here. This is where all correspondence and information about your course will be sent.
Log in to the virtual learning environment (Moodle) here. You should be able to do this 24 hours after registration.
Online classes for new students commences on 23rd January 2023.
You will find your timetable here. Within the Timetable section there are a few dropdown menus, please select the following options. Timetables are open to change and you will find your up to date timetable in Moodle.
- Department – eg. Department of Civil Engineering and Construction
- Student Group name – eg Higher Certificate in Science in Construction Economics (OnLine)
- Timetable layout – Grid Format
- Weeks to View – 2023 Semester 1 Online (13 weeks)
- Days to View – All Weekdays (Mon-Fri)
- Start / End Time – 18.00 – 22.00 (Evening)
And then click on the tab ‘View Timetable.’
Student ID cards are a useful source of identification and can prove your status to avail of student discounts. As part of the online registration process, you will upload a photograph which will enable us to produce your I.D. card.
As an Online Learner at ATU Sligo, you will receive help and support from our dedicated team of Online Student Advisors who will be there to assist you throughout your studies. They will be your first point of contact for any non-academic queries or questions you may have and can provide you with any further information, support or guidance you might require throughout your application process and studies at ATU. If you would like to develop your academic study skills and academic writing skills, you can enrol on our free self-directed online course at any time, and at your own pace.
Digital Badges are awarded for completing all units within the Academic Writing and Academic Skills modules.
You will be awarded The ATU Foundation Course Badge if you complete all units in both the Academic Writing and Academic Skills Badges.
