Congratulations on getting a place in Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Sligo.

Here is registration information to get you started in ATU Sligo.

Setup and Log in to Your ATU Account

  1. Setup the Authenticator App/Multi-Factor-Authentication (MFA). This is an essential security measure to keep ATU systems and your data safe. Not sure how to set up an MFA? A step-by-step guide is available in this video
  2. Password: Your password is initially set to DDMMYYYYATUS where DDMMYYYY is the day, month and year of your date and birth. You can change your password any time here; your new password must be a minimum of 12 characters long.

Registering for Your Course

Your new ATU account is now set up, and you’re ready to register for your course at Self-Service Banner.

Start here.

We also prepared a short instructional video for you – watch it here

Accessing Your Course Material

Moodle is the eLearning platform we use to allow you access to course material.

It may take up to 24 hours after you have completed your registration in the step above before you can access your course material on Moodle.

You should login to Moodle with your ATU details ie studentID@nullatu.ie

Moodle is available via the links on the Student Portal page of the college website or via https://vlesligo.atu.ie.

Do you have trouble logging into Moodle? Watch Moodle Help Video here.

Other useful information

In the Academic Calendar, you can find key dates for the Academic year 2022/2023.

*Please note that the Academic Calendar is subject to minor changes during the year.

Moodle will be available to new students 24 hours after you complete your registration. Moodle is the student learning platform we use at ATU Sligo.
Within this platform, students will access many learning resources. Every student has an account personalised to their course of study, and active use of your account will prepare you for success at ATU Sligo.

You can access your email, Moodle, and Student Self Service Banner, a database of your student records and information maintained by ATU Sligo on the Student Portal page.

The timetable schedule can be accessed here and will be updated in September 2022 – the page can take a few moments to load your timetable. Attending the induction is important so that you learn more about your timetable and how to read it. Please note that this timetable is subject to change, so check it regularly, especially at the start of term.

Induction is the first step in settling into college life. Registered students are encouraged to attend Induction where they will be shown how to access facilities, learn about the supports available, meet their lecturers, meet their classmates and lots more. Keep an eye on our web page dedicated to Induction 2022, and stay tuned to our social media channels, where we’ll be sure to post the latest information on Induction.
