Mental Health

Mental Health is an important part of all of our lives, it is not just about the absence of a mental health problem, having good mental health is about feeling good about ourselves.

What is Counselling?

Counselling provides the opportunity to discuss any issue which may be impacting on your mental health and general well-being in a confidential setting.

Confidentiality

Be assured that confidentiality is a central part of the counselling process. Confidentiality offers safety and privacy to discuss personal and private concerns, and safeguards against any unnecessary disclosures.

All information is confidential and won’t be disclosed to anyone outside of the Student Counselling Service. The only exception to this rule is any concern about immediate risk to you or a third party.

Mental Health Promotion

Throughout the year, the student counselling service runs a number of Mental Health promotions relating to different areas, including suicide prevention and managing anxiety and stress.
