Call for Abstracts

Given the scope and multi-disciplinary nature of sustainability, sustainable development and its delivery in third level education, this call for abstracts is based on the following proposed conference themes, which are not intended to be either restrictive or exhaustive:
– Multidisciplinary projects in sustainable development
– The pedagogy of sustainability in higher education
– Systems Learning and Sustainability
– Education and outreach with communities
– Education beyond colleges – learning from communities
– Beyond linear education – teaching sustainability concepts

Submission Guidelines

We welcome abstracts for presentation from interested parties in the area of education and sustainable development. These guidelines to assist you in the process of developing your abstract.

IMPORTANT DATES

Registration & submission of abstracts open       15th January 2018
Deadline for submission of abstracts 23rd February 2018
Early Bird registration (€150) ends 27th April 2018  
Registration with Purchase Orders closes 18th May 2018
Registration Closes 1st August 2018
EwS Conference 20th/21st/22nd August 2018

Registration and abstract submission are kindly managed by our conference partners, the Environmental Sciences Association of Ireland (ESAI).

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACTS

The official language of the conference is English. Abstracts should address one of the conference’s sub-themes. Additional sub-themes will be considered if they are in line with the main conference theme.
Details on abstract format, font, word limit, author format and content are outlined during the registration process. The registration process, hosted by our conference partners ESAI, will allow you to register with an option to return and upload abstracts at a later point.
