I graduated from University College Dublin in 1974 with an Honours MBS degree specialising in Human Resource Management.
I worked in the private sector until 1997 in Human Resource Management and Operations Management Roles in Irish and Multinational Organisations and I also graduated from University of Limerick with a MBA Degree during this period.
I joined the Institute of Technology Sligo in 1997 as a Management Lecturer and I have lectured on a variety of subjects including Strategic Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Project Management and Organisational Behaviour. I also completed an MA Degree in Interactive Multimedia in DIT and I am currently completing an MSc Degree in Supply Chain Management in DIT.
