Biography

Mary McGuckin  is a lecturer in the Department of Marketing, Tourism & Sport in the Atlantic Technological University, Sligo.  She is a member of the Failte Ireland Destination Taskforce for Sligo. an Editorial Board Member of Dos Algarves: a multidisciplinary e-Journal (DAMeJ) and a Board Member of the Abbey VS, Donegal.  Previous industry experience includes Sligo Tourism Board (Director), Capita Belfast (Consultant), Desmond & Sons (HR Dept.) and the Mayfair Regent Hotel NY (Communications Dept.)  She has been a Guest Lecturer at Florida University, Valencia, Spain and the University of Algarve, Portugal.
