An FAI Soccer Facilitator is to be appointed at IT Sligo as part of the FAI Third Level Development Plan.
The facilitator’s main remit will be to increase soccer participation among staff and students at the college and to support the existing soccer structures at IT Sligo.
IT Sligo has a very strong tradition in college Soccer. The college Men’s Team won the Umbro Cup in 2009 and the Women’s Team won four Premier Leagues and two Intervarsity Cups between 2004 and 2007.
Many IT Sligo players have also played with the Irish College International team.
