Ms. Smyth’s research focus is in the general area of neurorehabilitation and the emphasis on encouraging/developing options for home-based rehabilitation.

Ms. Smyth’s current research is in the area of cross-education and mirror therapy using a specially developed “Mirror Strengthening Device” for stroke rehabilitation.
