Biography

Áine Doherty is an Assistant Lecturer in Marketing at the Institute of Technology, Sligo. She received her Masters by Research from Letterkenny Institute of Technology. Her primary research areas include Experiential Marketing and Mobile Marketing. She is currently pursuing a PhD at NUIG under the supervision of Dr Ann Torres. With a professional background in Marketing and Sales, she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate Marketing and Sales courses both online and face to face.

Research Interests

My research interests are primarily in the area of Higher Education Marketing, Experiential Marketing and in Teaching and Learning.
I am currently undertaking a part-time structured PhD in NUIG under the supervision of Dr Ann Torres. This research forms an investigation into how experiential marketing activities such as open day, school visits, transition year taster days and course information days can influence the decision making process a prospective student encounters when deciding which higher education institute to attend.
