Biography

Helen Grady joined the Institute of Technology, Sligo as an Accounting Lecturer in 2010.  She previously held the role of Finance Manager with ANSAmed.  She is currently programme chair for the Higher Certificate in Business in Accounting programme.  She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and holds an MSc awarded by DCU.  She is currently pursuing a PhD through DCU researching the impact of Big Data on Management Accounting.  She specialises in the development and delivery of modules in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Computer Applications on programmes from L6 to L8 across both School of Business and Social Sciences and School of Engineering and Design.  She lectures to both full time and online students.  Prior to joining IT Sligo she gained over 19 years experience as Finance Manager in the pharmaceutical, retail, wholesale, food, construction and public services sectors.
