1984-1992  Worked as a plant engineer in IMI Yorkshire Alloys, Birmingham, UK and later Redland Bricks, Horsham,UK
1992-1995  Technical teacher in Burkina Faso, West Africa, Aid work with International Service, York, UK.
1996-  Lecturer on the Mechatronics Programme, IT Sligo
