Biography

Mary McGuckin  is a lecturer in the Department of Marketing, Tourism & Sport in the Institute of Technology, Sligo.  She is a member of the Sligo Destination Working Group/FI Taskforce, a Director of Sligo Tourism Ltd and a Board Member of the Abbey VS, Donegal.  She has been a Guest Lecturer in University of Algarve, Portugal and Florida University, Valencia, Spain.  She previously worked with Letterkenny Institute of Technology, Capita Management Consultants Ltd., Belfast, Desmond & Sons, Derry and the Mayfair Regent Hotel, NY.    

Research Interests

Strategy & Business Models, Literary Tourism, Creative & Cultural Tourism and Communications in Tourism.
