This programme offers a progression pathway to students who have successfully completed the L7 Marketing & Sales degree and wish to progress to the L8 (Add On Honours) Degree. It is also available to students from any relevant L7 Business programme which included a number of Marketing modules.

The Bachelor of Business L8 (Add On) programme is designed to ensure that graduates have the capabilities, confidence and skills to enable them to competently hold positions in multinational organisations or SMEs when they graduate. Many graduates have also set up their own businesses too.
Organisations today have a lot to consider, they must ensure they are providing top class customer service, work within an increasingly regulated environment and work within a socially responsible framework in times of growth and recession. This programme will enable the learner to meet these challenges. Marketing is increasingly acknowledged as a major driver of economic growth, given its role in encouraging consumer spending, promoting competition, triggering innovation, all of which contribute to increased sales, higher employment and stronger economic activity. This programme is designed to prepare him or her for the real world of work and to maximise their skill base to make them an attractive prospect to employers throughout all sectors of the business world. The programme is also attractive to someone who is returning to education and wishes to up skill for the changing business environment.

The entry requirement is a level 7 business degree such as the B.Bus. Marketing & Sales at IT Sligo.
Skilled Marketers are in high demand in Ireland and across the globe. A number of graduates have established highly successful businesses while others have joined graduate training courses in multinational companies. Many graduates work within SMEs or international organisations. Employers today want graduates who can hit the ground running; graduates from this course will be capable of making a positive contribution to all sectors of the business world.
Graduates may progress to one of two level 9 programmes, a taught Master of Science in Marketing (full or part time) or a Master of Arts by Research within the Department of Marketing, Tourism & Sport. Graduates may also progress to other level 9 programmes at home or abroad.

Ciara, on completion of the B.Bus in Marketing degree, spent her first couple of years of professional life as an SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) Specialist working in two of the world’s largest advertising agencies, GroupM and Dentsu Aegis Network before pivoting into her current role as an in-house recruiter with Ireland’s most successful and well known airline, Ryanair.
Ciara notes that she has been fortunate enough to have had a varied but rewarding career to date thanks to the foundations that IT Sligo provided her with.
