This programme offers a progression pathway to students who have successfully completed the Level 7 Ordinary Degree in Marketing & Sales and wish to progress to the L8 (Add On Hons) Degree. It is also open to those from a similar Business background to Level 7.
Today's business environment is very dynamic and challenging. The Bachelor of Business L8 (Add On) programme is designed to ensure that graduates have the capabilities, confidence and skills to enable them to competently hold positions in the specialisms of their choosing when they graduate.
Businesses today have a lot to consider, they must ensure they are providing top class customer service, work within an increasingly regulated environment and work within a socially responsible framework in times of growth and recession. This Programme will enable the learner to meet these challenges. The modules the learner will study are designed to prepare him or her for the real world of work and to maximise their skill base to make them an attractive prospect to employers throughout all sectors of the business world.

Employers today want graduates who can hit the ground running; graduates from this course will be capable of making a positive contribution to all business activities. The broad marketing knowledge and skills gained on the programme equip graduates for a career in lots of different marketing and business areas. There are many opportunities for graduates of this programme.

Graduates may progress to one of two Level 9 programmes here at ATU Sligo - a taught Master of Science in Marketing (full or part time) or a Master of Arts by Research within the Department of Marketing, Tourism & Sport.
Graduates may also progress to Level 9 programmes at other third level providers in Ireland or abroad.
