The VERY BIG Christmas Concert in aid of the North West Hospice  will be held in the IT Sligo Knocknarea Arena tonight Thursday, December 9th.

The Concert will kick off at 8pm sharp and will feature music and entertainment from the Sligo Academy of Music, Own a Chord, Sproai, Sligo Concert Band, Sligo Musical Society, Melody Academy of Dance, St Mary’s Youth Choir, Grange and Coola School Groups, and the Sligo Brass Band amongst others.

A celebrity Secret Santa act will also feature in the interval. The celebrity Santa will take questions from children attending the concert and whoever guesses his or her identity first will take home a brand new bike.

Master of Ceremonies is Tommie Gorman of RTE.

The show’s musical producer Shaun Purcell is encouraging people to take part in what promises to be great night of entertainment for all the family:

“This promises to be a great night for all the family and is the perfect kick start to the festive season. The concert will showcase some of the best musical and dance talent from across Sligo and there are some great prizes to be won in the raffle on the night. The North West Hospice relies on fundraising of this kind and I would like to encourage everyone to support this most worthwhile charity event.”

Tickets priced at €10 for adults and €5 for children are available from the IT Sligo Student Union Shop, Sligo VEC, Super Value Ballisodare, Mace Rathcormac, and Centra’s in Caltragh, Castle Street and Colooney.
