To the theme of ‘Superheroes of Engineering’, the Knocknarea Arena was transformed on the 3rd May 2018 into a bustling marketplace for engineering minds.

With the event open to all between 10am and 7pm, the general public, students, schools and community groups all arrived to explore and engage with over 50 interactive displays, industry talks and hands on activities.

IT Sligo students from Mechatronics, Precision Engineering & Design, Electronic & Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computing and Civil & Construction Engineering represented  our Institute with  25 North West companies, 12 companies from beyond the North West region and 3 international companies representing Manufacturing, Medical devices, Pharmaceutical, Precision & Tool making, Agricultural, Construction, ICT and Food Industries.

Transformer ‘Bumblebee’ and Iron Man represented themselves and kept a smile on everyone’s faces.
