Our campus has gone green for St Patrick’s day as part of “greening for Sligo” project.  Many buildings around Sligo, Ireland and around the world our taking part including the old Abbey and train station in Sligo Town.

Each year, as part of Tourism Ireland’s Global Greening initiative, hundreds of buildings and landmarks across the world turn green to celebrate St Patricks Day on the 17th March.

This year we are encouraging everyone to get involved in the fun. At a time when travel is not possible, the aim is to create a sense of hope and connection to Ireland, and to other students around the world.

How to get involved

You can easily get involved by going ‘Green’. You can achieve a ‘Greening’ through lights, clothing, virtual backgrounds, paint etc. Be creative and have fun!

Tourism Ireland have a wide range of prizes to be won. To be in with a chance to win, upload your ‘Greening’ photos or short video to Instagram between 12-17 March and tag @educationinireland @tourismireland @itsligo #globalgreening.
