IT Sligo Strengthens Ties With Canadian College

IT Sligo has signed a new agreement with a prestigious Canadian Third Level Institution, which will enable students in Canada to complete their degree courses here in Ireland.

Fanshawe College, which is one of the largest colleges in Ontario with six campuses, has developed a strong relationship with the Institute. Innovation staff from the Canadian college visited IT Sligo to sign a new agreement which will enable their diploma and advanced diploma graduates to complete an honours bachelor degree at IT Sligo in Early Childhood Education, Social Care Practice, Environmental Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Medical Biotechnology and Recreation & Leisure (Ordinary Bachelor Degree).

Fanshawe College is particularly interested in IT Sligo’s Biopharmaceutical programme and the Institute’s unique relationship with the National Institute of Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) of which IT Sligo is a founding partner.

Both institutions are also developing new research partnerships in the areas of Environmental Science, The Built Environment and Sustainable Energy.
