The fourth annual SciFest will take place in IT Sligo’s Knocknarea Arena this Friday, May 6th.
More than three hundred secondary school students from Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal, Cavan, Roscommon and Mayo will participate in the competition in the categories of Life Sciences, Technology and Physical Sciences.
The aim of the competition is to encourage a love of science through enquiry-based learning.
The School of Science in IT Sligo is the second largest in the Institute of Technology sector after DIT, and SciFest is just one of the annual regional events hosted by the School to promote the subject.
