Staff and students at IT Sligo have been speaking on RTE’s Nationwide about the Institute’s brand-new Student Entrepreneurship Scholarships and the bright new prospects they could open up for the young entrepreneurs of tomorrow.

Launched by IT Sligo President, Professor Terri Scott, the exciting Scholarship scheme is unlike any other in Ireland

For potential student entrepreneurs out there, these Scholarships provide a pathway into IT Sligo where you can bring your own business or social entrepreneurship ideas and turn them into reality.

If you have chosen any IT Sligo course through the CAO, you can be in the running for a €1500 a year contribution for the duration of your course PLUS business mentoring and support to help you develop and apply your enterprise ideas.

If you have completed the Foróige/NFTE programme, the County Enterprise Board Student Enterprise Competition or just have an original idea, you should apply. You must have a current CAO number to be eligible for the Scholarship: don’t delay: the closing date for application to the CAO is 1 May 2013!

Further information on the programme is available from Sandra Dooley, Youth Enterprise Development Officer Foroige/NTFE at 086 7842281 or you can email Roisin McGlone at mcglone.roisin@nullitsligo.ie
