Two IT Sligo students Annie Lynskey and Deirdre Doherty have been selected for this season’s Premier League All Star team. Both players were hugely significant for IT Sligo Womens Soccer Club this season. Deirdre is studying Health Science and Physiology in IT Sligo. She was the Club’s best player over the course of the season, a considerable achievement for a First Year student. Her performances led to her being called into the Irish Under 19 and Irish Colleges soccer squads. Annie Lynskey was the second highest scorer in the Premier League (UL’s Julie-Anne Russell was first) and has also been called into the Irish Colleges squad. This is Annie’s second Premier League All Star award. She was also honoured last season. Annie is a Year 2 student in Office Administration. Both Deirdre and Annie are from Mayo and are involved in the Mayo League representative panel.
