Students from the Bachelor of Business in Tourism have teamed up with Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership to host a community basketball blitz 
amongst primary schools students in Sligo.
The blitz is aimed at children between the ages of 8 – 10 years old in 3rd and 4th classes from eight primary schools around Sligo. The aim of the event is to promote the sport within Sligo and to encourage children to become get involved in sport.
The schools who are interested in participating will be required to appoint a teacher or supervisor who will be required to take part in a training day, hosted by Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership, Local volunteers will also assist in the supervising and managing of children on the day.
