The graduate Design Show will open at the IT Sligo Design Studios, Block L on 10 June at 8pm. Work will be featured from the final year students recent project with Audi, Germany where the students presented their futuristic designs to Audi designers at the Munich plant last month. Also on display will be some award winning cardboard chairs from a recent national competition where the students took first, third and fourth places.
The balloon beds from the Model galleries recent Dorm show designed by second year students to allow 80 people to sleepover will be on display along with table lamps designed and created by first year students using high tech laser cutting and low tech cardboard. Other projects include designs for a collapsible surfboard, a computer mouse designed specifically for gaming, to packaging for exclusive face creams. An interesting and eclectic array of projects!
